Call for applications for two positions of ICPMF board member

ICPMF seeks exceptional candidates with a strong track record in the field of Predictive Microbiology and Food Modelling, to serve as ICPMF board member, developing activities related to the ICPMF mission and participating in the ICPMF board meetings in accordance with the by-laws: To foster the development and use of mathematical modelling in food science To Improve Food Safety and Quality and Food Process Optimization through transferring the Know-How on Predictive Model to the different levels along the Food Chains To create a strong predictive modeller community able to advance in Predictive Mathematical Tools for Food by increasing the presence in media, science, academia, etc. To develop educational programmes to train scientists, academia and food professionals in Predictive Modelling Tools in Foods

The ICPMF member will be elected by vote for a 10-year term, for which a majority vote of all ICPMF current committee members will be required. Candidates should submit an expression of interest and a maximum of two letters of support by e-mail to the ICPMF Chair (koseki@agr.hokudai.ac.jp) and secretary (george.nychas@gmail.com), no later than 31 January 2026. The expression of interest should include the relevant achievements of the candidate in the field of Predictive Modelling in Food, motivation, the expected contribution to ICPMF activities, and other significant aspects related to the ICPMF mission and vision.

Call for application to host the ICPMF conference 2027

Open from 26 May to 16 June 2025
The application should contain:
- One-page description of time period, city, (co)-organisers of the conference, motivation and preferred topics, and if available, one or more supporting organisations.
- An engagement letter from the main organiser.
